The American Jewish Historical Society is home to the Archive of the American Soviet Jewry Movement—the largest and most comprehensive collection anywhere of materials documenting the American campaign to rescue Soviet Jews. The multifaceted, multiyear project includes gathering oral histories as well as collecting personal papers, photographs, broadsides, news releases, films and other items that detail the effort to liberate oppressed Jews in the Soviet Union.
