Family Program News: Jacob Stein and The Bakery Band Puppets Present “The Wise Puppets of Chelm”

This Sunday, August 12, marks the season finale of Summer Sundays at the Center, a new family program launched in June. Making their second Summer Sunday appearance, Jacob Stein and The Bakery Band Puppets will present “The Wise Puppets of Chelm,” a musical performance that will take families on a journey through traditional and contemporary Jewish folktales. Singing songs old and new, Jacob’s hilarious cast of characters will delight the crowd with their stories about the people—and animals—of Chelm, Poland. As part of Sunday’s program, families are invited to take part in a puppet-making workshop before the show and make their own farm animal puppets to dance along to the wise puppets’ music.
