Dear Friend of the Center,

I hope that this message finds you well in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. After being forced to close for the past week because of the storm, the Center for Jewish History is now open to the public once again, and we hope that you will visit us soon. Our phones, email accounts and online resources are also up and running again.

As part of our ongoing efforts to support our local community, we are serving as a centralized location for accepting winter coats/clothing for those in need of relief. Please bring these items to 15 West 16th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues). Our front desk staff will help you when you arrive.

The Center can also be of assistance to those of you who are concerned about preserving your family heirlooms, books, photographs and other materials. Click here to view tips on disaster recovery and conservation. Our archivists, librarians and technicians are available six days a week to answer questions. Please don’t hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Sincerely,
Michael S. Glickman
Chief Operating Officer
