New from Research and Reference Services: Book a Librarian
submitted by David P. Rosenberg, M.P.A., Reference Services Research Coordinator, Center for Jewish History

The Center for Jewish History is happy to assist you in discovering resources! You can arrange one-on-one research appointments with library professionals who will help further your research. Thirty-minute sessions are limited to one research topic appropriate to the collections housed at the Center. Each session is booked at the librarian’s discretion.

Comments from patrons who have had research consultations:

“It was such a great help working with you the other day and I look forward to the possibility for more research time in the archives in the future. I really appreciate you taking the time to point me in the direction of sources and explain to me some of the more complicated elements of Jewish practices and traditions. “

“Thank you for meeting with me yesterday. I appreciate how you took the time to not only search the catalog with me but showed me how I could get better results myself. The overview of the reference collection and the key books to know about helped me throughout my visit and I’m sure will help me with my research in the future.”

“You really know how to do searches well. I couldn’t believe you came up with so many more results when we searched JStor and ProjectMuse together last week—equally impressive was how you were able to sort out the good articles so quickly. One of the first articles you suggested had exactly what I was looking for! Thanks again.”
