Freier founded the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Youth_Aliyah\" target=\"_blank\">Youth Aliyah<\/a> organization in 1933, which was responsible for saving the lives of 22,000 children from Nazi Germany. She is the author of the controversial publication, &ldquo;Let the Children Come Home.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>These poems, as yet not officially translated into English, capture the fear and darkness of living as a Jewish child in Nazi Germany.
